Please read the rules carefully, especially with the sending of entry fees and please include suitably sized stamped address envelopes for return of work if required.

Prizes. Cups, Trophies, Shields, Medals and Certificates of Merit as indicated in each class.

The Supreme Prize of The Mordon-Caradar Rosebowl will be awarded to the most outstanding entry from either class 1 or class 2. The winner will be announced by the Grand Bard during the Gorsedd Ceremony.

Music and words to be judged. A music manuscript written in black ink must be submitted with entry. (Failure to do so, will invalidate entry) Tape recordings may be used.

CALLIGRAPHY
Written text in Cornish from any source. Limit 2 entries per person.

Mounted colour or monochrome print of any Cornish Subject. Limit four entries.

PHOTOGRAPHY.
Group of three mounted colour or monochrome prints of any Cornish subject. Limit four entries.

14(a) Any Cornish subject in watercolour, Size to be no greater than approximately 20x20 inches. Unframed but may be mounted.

14(b) Any Cornish subject in any medium BUT WATERCOLOUR. Size to be no greater than approximately 20x20 inches. Unframed but may be mounted.

RULES FOR ADULTS


All work should be original, hitherto unpublished and not entered for ANY previous competition. The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. NO PSEUDONYMS ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY OF THE CLASSES, but please write your name and address CLEARLY on all entries.

An entry fee of £2 per entry per class is required. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Gorseth Kernow’. Please write your name and address on the reverse of cheque and attach securely to your entry.

The Gorsedd reserves the right to exhibit all winning entries on the Gorsedd Website gorsethkernow.org.uk and at the Exhibition on Gorsedd Day. Although great care will be taken of entries, no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage. If return of work is required suitably sized pre-paid envelopes should accompany your entry. Photocopies are acceptable where applicable, but are not returnable.

Entries can be collected from the Gorsedd Exhibition from 600pm until 7.00pm on Gorsedd Day, thereafter you will need to make your own arrangements for collection, from the Competitions Secretary.

RESULTS will be announced in the press in late August. The first Prize Winner in each class will be invited to attend the annual Gorsedd Ceremony – The first Saturday in September – to receive the award from the Grand Bard. Please return trophies, cups, etc. by the end of July to the Trophy Steward, Mr Graham Jackett - tel. . Medals are awarded to the first Prize Winners to keep, but must not be worn at any Gorsedd Ceremony. No Photography allowed inside the Gorseth Circle.
