Gorseth Kernow- the Open Gorseth
at Looe, 6th September 2008

Looe 2008

Despite the terrible weather throughout August and in the previous week, the long procession started from Looe School, with more than two hundred bards, civic dignitaries, officers of the Gorseth and the Grand Bard , as far as the Men Omborth on the Sports Field, and all of them led by Merv Davey (Telynor an Weryn) playing the bagpipes. You could see the beautiful coast nearly up to Plymouth and the sun was shining at last.

The weather was fairly good, somewhat sunny, somewhat windy, but with a short shower amidst the prize giving but into each life a little rain must fall.

With the sun shining again we sang Bro Goth and the bards returned to the school for their tea and the evening concert. What a brilliant day that was.
